Welcome to MaleOverhaul, your local mobile Barber & Massage Therapist, serving between Hazelbrook and Lithgow NSW Australia.
In my 25 year Barber career I learned early on that there was a clear gap in the market in general for men who wanted haircuts and massage therapy, and to be pampered by a fellow man. I learnt Spas were clearly set up to attract and welcome women, and men were just a side business IF they felt comfortable there.
When I moved to the upper Blue Mountains in 2009, a long time tourism area and high amount of commuters to Sydney and busy local tradesmen, I saw a clear opportunity to use my skills and provide a unique mobile service focusing on men. In 2009 I studied Remedial Massage Therapy at Katoomba TAFE after returning from a year of Barbering on a passenger liner travelling the world, and then established this business in 2011.
MaleOverhaul was set up in a mobile capacity to serve men who are locals, tourists, the housebound and immobile, the elderly and handicapped, and the lazy at their homes and holiday stays, and also the odd festivals and event around NSW, for both Barber Services and Massage Therapy.
One of the unique aspects of this business is that over the years I have been invited to partner with pubs, cafes and accommodation venues to share customers. My customers have appreciated the convenience, fun and variety of being served in these local often historic mountains venues, whilst providing mobile Barber (and/or Massage Therapy) services on other days, providing a quality, reliable and convenient weekly upper mountains service at reasonable rates.
Other mobile specialities that have evolved include a unique “groom the Groom and Groomsmen” service for wedding day mornings around the Blue Mountains.
My flexibility is the key to this business' success.
2023 - I am working from home in Blackheath for haircuts and massage, whilst still providing a reliable mobile service now limited to disability clients only, and a fantastic walk in Katoomba Barbershop Outpost open only on Thursdays and Fridays 2pm til 7pm.
